Storytelling is a form of art and entertainment found in every culture and every corner of the world, from ancient times right up until the present day.

Most of us have memories of sitting around in a group as kids and letting our imaginations run wild as we weaved fanciful, bizarre, scary, exciting, funny, wondrous tales together.  Part of what made those experiences so magical is that no single person was in full control of the story--no sooner would one storyteller have begun than another would jump in and take the plot in a new, unexpected direction, adding a dragon here, a kiss there, and in the process creating a new world.

Storytelling has always been a way of bringing people--family, friends, neighbors, strangers--together.  It's one of the few universal pastimes.  But unfortunately for most of us, storytelling exists in the past--when we were children, or during a simpler time when our daily lives weren't filled with so many distrctions.
